Things are ramping up for the Miss World pageant as it releases the “Beauty with a Purpose” videos for its candidates, with the latest one being that of Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez.

In the five-minute video, Tracy shared the story of her close relationship with her mother, Chona Asibal Perez, whom she says raised their “little but beautiful” family. According to her, her mother's death 11 years ago left her directionless before getting to know other single mothers.

Thanks to her own experience living with a single mother, Tracy has made advocating for single mothers her mission, several of whom are seen in the video sharing the difficulties they've experienced and the help they long for.

In its last segment, the video shows the organization that Tracy has been working to provide the single mothers with IT training, financial training, as well as with livelihood.

This is the start of the competition for Tracy, after spending more than 40 hours traveling to get to Puerto Rico. Before the competition began, Tracy had also given her Instagram followers a look at her first day in Puerto Rico, showing off the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico's lobby, its outdoor dining area, as well as some shots of her with fellow contestants.

The finals for the Miss World beauty pageant will be held on December 16.
